With a passion for using the landscape as a teaching tool, Carrie designs spaces that promote public health by offering opportunities for recreation, education and interaction. She has expertise in managing complex projects, quickly zooming from the big picture to the finest detail and navigating process with confidence. In addition to practice, Carrie is a member of CLARB’s Leadership Advisory Council, chaired the CLARB Technical Exam Writing Committee and taught construction detailing at UC Berkeley Extension. She is a founding partner of Plural and her dedication, social skills, and empathy are invaluable assets to our studio and our clients.

Scott enlivens his collaborations with enthusiasm and wit. He is committed to making resilient places that bring people together and that build social capital in our cities and neighborhoods. He begins with listening, approaching each project with an emphasis on understanding place through the lens of its past and present culture. In addition to practice, Scott teaches design at UC Berkeley. He is a founding partner of Plural and brings over ten years of experience as a Principal, leading the design, management, and construction of complex projects. Scott’s leadership chops and sense of humor buoy our studio.

Lisa has 20 years of experience designing, managing, and delivering complex, award-winning projects. She applies deep expertise in sustainable construction systems to rigorous technical design, while serving as a kind and supportive mentor to her team. Her professionalism, confidence, dedication to quality, and sense of humor enable her to effectively steward high-performance construction in the field. She is currently pursuing her arborist certification and cultivating a parallel passion for photographing designed landscapes.

Daphne Caron

Daphne brings a can-do spirit, a sense of humor, and good vibes to our studio. Prior to joining Plural, she worked in food system education and academic research. She also practiced at a variety of firms in both San Francisco and Florida, gaining experience on project types ranging from hospitality, estate design, and zoos, to children’s gardens and public parks. Daphne is facile with digital design technologies and is passionate about plants. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, sewing, and exploring the great outdoors.

Sebastián is a talented designer whose work bridges landscape, urban design, and architecture. An expert visual communicator and strategic problem solver, Chelsea translates complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives and buildable solutions. She values inclusive leadership and collaborative processes, working closely with clients, communities, and interdisciplinary teams to shape ideas into meaningful, memorable, and resilient places.
