Potrero Power Station: Sophie Maxwell Building

San Francisco, CA

Power Station Block 7B, the Sophie Maxwell Building, is an affordable family housing project at San Francisco’s Potrero Power Station along the Central Waterfront. The building consists of 105 apartments and ground floor retail and amenity space. The project is part of the larger Potrero Power Station mixed-use development, which will transform the 29-acre site of a decommissioned power station into a vibrant waterfront community.

On the ground floor, the project shares a courtyard with an adjacent market rate housing building and provides a connection to the neighborhood park. The large rooftop garden will allow residents to enjoy multi-directional views from downtown San Francisco to the San Francisco Bay. Amenities includes a large lawn for recreation and a variety of spaces sized for small and large group gatherings.
