Portico at Treasure Island

San Francisco, CA

Portico on Treasure Island is a market rate multi-family housing development adjacent the future Cityside Waterfront Park with amazing views towards the San Francisco skyline. The project takes advantage of these views with a series of three portals. The portals create outdoor gathering spaces for entertaining and relaxing while taking in the skyline view. In addition to the portals there is a rooftop dining deck and a large on-structure courtyard, envisioned as lush garden.

The landscape spaces within the project are inspired by two distinctive cultural benchmarks for Treasure Island, the Panama Pacific International Exposition in 1915 and the current Re-envisioning of Treasure Island. The ground level spaces respond to the current Re-envisioning of Treasure Island, incorporating planting and materials palettes that relate to a rich, ecological California landscape. The palettes of the roof spaces within the building align with the glamour of the Pan Pacific Exposition Art Deco style.
